How To Make Going Back to School Less Painful With Tips On The Best TV Shows

With the kids going finally back to school this week, the team at ATV Aerial and Satellite Company had an amusing conversation that led to this latest blog.
We all remembered rushing home from school to watch the likes of Pipkins and Hartley Hare. Just look at this picture!
Kids today don't realise how lucky they are. Not only do they have a variety of mediums and channels to find good viewing on, with a huge choice of programs, they also aren't set to times or have the risk of missing it if they are late! Detention in our household meant missing an episode of our favourite TV program, never to be seen again! There was no such thing as catch-up TV!
With all that in mind, we thought it a good opportunity to remind you to make sure your cabling, aerials, dishes, and Wifi is all shipshape - those going wrong is the only thing that could stand between your young 'uns and their after school viewing!
Ranging across the entire spectrum of ages, our top 10 recommendations for after school TV viewing are:
- Full House - a hilarious series featuring teenagers struggling with challenges.
- Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide - find it on YouTube, you won't regret it.
- Pretty In Pink - a classic that shows how the good will always over come anything.
- Ferris Bueller's Day Off - if we can't bunk off, we can laugh at someone else getting it wrong.
- Pepper Pig - let's face it, who can get enough of Daddy Pig?
- Dora The Explorer - a life lesson in every episode!
- The Vampire Diaries - for older teens, who will realise their class mates aren't all that weird after all.
- Boy Meets World - the first day of high school episode is worth watching again and again.
- Ben 10 - he's just such a good boy!
- Junior Masterchef - they may get inspiration and cook the family tea!
All joking aside, good TV is important for all ages in moderation, to relax in front of, after a hard day. So, if your viewing equipment is letting you down, then do get in touch and we will sort it out! Call Jayne in the office on 0191 252 4308.
