As Christmas Approaches Save Money with an Aerial

Christmas is well and truly on its way - come on, we aren't the first to say it, you've all seen the festive adverts on TV already!!

And whilst that is an exciting prospect, it is also a time where we can feel extra pressures on us financially. That turkey, vino and gifts don't come cheap. And then there is the New Year stretching out ahead of us trying to recover.

So think about where you can save money now. The first place we start is with subscriptions. Sky, Virgin and even lower cost ones like Netflix can all drain the bank. Many of these channels, including Apple TV and Disney are expensive and if you have more than one, your viewing will be costing a small fortune each month.

So as well as saving over Christmas, why not make it a New Year's resolution too, to keep on saving... with a good aerial and a Freeview package you can watch live TV, pause, record and catch up. With Freeview Play there is a choice of an impressive 60,000+ hours of TV and over 1,500 boxsets, across your favourite on demand players.

All for free.

Tips from Freeview include:

"If you already have an aerial, make sure the cables are undamaged and connected to the aerial point in your home. The aerial needs to be securely plugged into the socket in the back of your Freeview TV or recorder.

It also needs to be in the right position, and not damaged by the weather. It's worth going outside to check it's pointing in the same direction as others nearby."

"To get the best results, we recommend that you use use a wideband aerial. Also known as Type T (for 'total') or Type W (for 'wideband'), these cover the entire range of signals used to transmit digital TV and continue to work even if there are changes to your TV signals."

Give us a call to sort out your cabling and aerial, get those subscriptions cancelled, the sit back and enjoy TV while save money immediately and for the future!

Don't worry, there's so much still to watch you are still guaranteed a very Merry TV Christmas!
