Unless you are very, very near to the main TV antenna for your area, this type of aerial simply doesn't work.

More and more TV retailers seem to think it appropriate to recommend these aerials to people buying TV's from them as a cheaper and quicker alternative. This however, is a fallacy and a waste of money.
